Tench hooks the prizes

It has been a good year for custom bike buider Mark Tench. Actually, Mark is a Southampton taxi driver by profession but custom bikes are one helluva lot more than a hobby. 2 Hard too Handle is his latest creation. A two-litre S&S engine has it ticking along quite nicely. Just about everything else has been purpose built. The result won best chop first time out at the National Chopper Club’s Diamond Day at London’s Ace Café this summer and on 8 October he rounded off the season by winning best in show, best custom and best chop at the Brightona bash in Brighton.  A couple of week’s earlier he finished runner-up in Pool Quay’s Bike of the Year contest and has picked up several other trophies too. Take a look at the following pix by Karl Annets and read reports about both Brightona and Poole in the November issue of MCM.
