Sand racing has been part of the winter scene at the Lincolnshire resort of Mablethorpe for 37 years. Amazingly, Neil Tuxworth, the man who now heads the Honda Britain Race team, has competed every year and now chairs the Mablethorpe Sand Racing Club. The 2006/7 season kicked off on 8 October. Neil was among 120 people from under seven years of age to over 70 who rode. These pictures by Vic Barnes capture the atmosphere.
